Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Machine Learning and Signal Processing

    Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
    Applications are invited for a position as a postdoctoral researcher working with Prof Bastiaan Kleijn at Victoria University Wellington. The position is initially for one year. The main role of the Postdoctoral Research Fellow is to perform research in machine learning and signal processing. The primary line of work will relate to distributed processing with an emphasis on facilitating privacy in a project funded by the Royal society's Marsden Fund. The position additionally will support the development of machine learning and signal processing algorithms with applications in acoustics and geophysics.
    Ō pūmanawa - About you
    Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. The position requires experience in signal processing and/or machine learning along with a strong research track record. Prior experience in distributed processing will be helpful but is not required. A good understanding of information theory will be helpful.
