012937 Senior Research Engineer, Charge Qubit Engineering, UCD School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 31 Months

This Enterprise Ireland funded project aims to bring into maturation the quantum computing infrastructure of a new position-based CMOS charge qubit technology invented and developed by Equal1 (startup) and University College Dublin. This new quantum computing paradigm allows a tight integration of qubits with its control electronics on the same CMOS die, all operating at 'high' temperature of 4 kelvin. A Senior Research Fellow will join the interdisciplinary team of quantum computing system designers, quantum physicists, CMOS circuit designers, and programmers, and will specifically contribute to the leadership of modeling and simulation of the position-based charge qubits, and will tackle the new qubit incorporation into IBM's Qiskit software development framework. The successful candidate will also be in charge of communication with the external partners and stakeholders.
