    The research group of Andy Jones is looking for a bioinformatics post-doc to join the “PanOryza” project (UK-USA-Philippines), aimed with creating the pan gene, protein and pathway set for Orzya sativa (rice) for 16 platinum standard genomes, covering major domesticated varieties and ~25 wild relatives. You will develop software for pan gene set creation and visualisation and analyse omics data for genome/proteome annotation. Results will be disseminated through partner databases Ensembl, UniProt, SNP-Seek and Planteome. You should have a PhD in bioinformatics, be a strong coder, with experience of omics. The post is available until 31 August 2023.
