The Laboratory of Cell Signaling, member of the Research Center on Obesity and Comorbidities (OCRC) of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), São Paulo, Brazil, offers a postdoctoral fellowship position in the following areas: “Hypothalamic control of food intake”/“Whole body regulation of energy expenditure”.
Candidates must have completed their PhD; experience in morphological analysis by light and confocal microscopy; extensive knowledge of cell and molecular biology techniques (emphasis on cell culture of neuronal precursor cells of the adult brain of mice), viability and cell cycle analyzes (biochemical and immunodetection by flow cytometry), high resolution respirometry (seahorse), molecular biology (qRT-PCR, transfection-siRNA, microarray). Also, will be expected capacity to work in a multidisciplinary environment. The project will be conducted under the supervision of Licio A. Velloso, MD, PhD, and funded by FAPESP.
