    Fixed term (2 years) position
    What You Will Do
    We have an exciting opportunity for a postdoctoral fellow to undertake research in the field of transportation engineering. You will have the opportunity to drive research in a broad range of areas, contributing to the on-going research in the multi-objective, multi-modal integrated traffic control in large-scale networks project. The aim of this project is (1) to gain a better understanding of traffic dynamics in a large complex network of freeway and urban roads; (2) develop a multi-modal integrated traffic flow model for large-scale urban networks and (3) design a multi-objective hierarchical controller.

    The primary focus of this position is on research; however, you will also contribute to the teaching of Transportation courses and preparing grant proposals.

    Who You Are
    You will have a PhD in one of the following; Transportation Engineering, Traffic Control, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, as well as an advanced research background in Control Theory / Traffic Flow Theory / Traffic Simulation. You will demonstrate excellent coding skills and have experience using Traffic Simulation packages such as AIMSUN, VISSIM and SUMO.

    As well as the above, you will have experience that demonstrates excellent research planning and leadership capabilities. You will also have demonstrated experience with preparing and delivering quality oral presentations to a wide audience.
