    Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Laboratory of Dr Myriam Charpentier at the John Innes Centre based in Norwich, UK.

    Background:

    The group’s research aims to understand how plant nuclear calcium signals, elicited by biotic and abiotic stresses, are encoded and decoded to modulate plant growth and performance in diverse environments.

    The role:

    To understand the nutritional benefit of a novel root endosymbioses molecular component. The Charpentier lab seeks to hire a Postdoctoral Researcher with experience in and a passion for root endosymbioses interaction. They will benefit from a highly interdisciplinary and international environment, with outstanding institutional support.

    The ideal candidate:

    Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Plant Sciences with experience in endosymbioses interactions, molecular biology, nutrient analyses or genetics, with experience in endosymbioses interactions being essential.

    Additional information:

    Salary on appointment will be within the range £31,625 to £38,575 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time post for a contract of 6 months.
