    The Faculty of Science and Technology at Middlesex University, London (UK) is seeking to appoint a post-doctoral research fellow to contribute to research, project support to senior researchers to enable the delivery of the intended results, and co-ordination of a research multi-discipline project funded by Newton Fund/British Council Institutional Links programme. The main role is to develop and generate a Digital Twin model to simulate the vital physical infrastructure (asset)’s behaviour and performance. Particularly, the researcher is expected to work with a team at Middlesex University and collaborate with several other teams from the UK (Viavi Solutions) and Vietnam (The University of Transport and Communications) to conduct research in wireless sensing, mathematical models, data analytics, data science, digital twin and machine learning to develop a structural health monitoring (SHM) system for maintenance and monitoring of important infrastructures such as bridges, dams, ports, determining potential problems that could arise, then subsequently developing new monitoring solutions to mitigate part failure. Applicants will hold a PhD in a relevant area.

    The post will be a full-time role with fixed term contract of 20 months, based in Hendon, London.
