The Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy at King’s College London is delighted to encourage expressions of interest from excellent prospective applicants seeking to bring a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship to King’s. We will consider any expression of interest which meets the scheme’s eligibility requirements and our own expectations of quality, and in return we offer expert guidance and feedback during the application process. Candidates should demonstrate a record of publications appropriate to the stage of their career but should be aware that this scheme is very competitive. We are particularly, though not exclusively, interested in hearing from those working in the following areas where we have either considerable research strengths or a strategic need: smart cities and infrastructures, contested political ecology, energy and decolonisation, big data and agent-based modelling, environmental hazards and health and atmospherics, land use and landforms.
Recent research successes in this Fellowship scheme include such topics as the role of information, communication and technology in modern conflict, changing patterns of political engagement in Egypt, the impact of the EU referendum on right-wing activism, populism in Indian and US foreign policy and the social history of migration.
