We are seeking a highly motivated, Post-Doctoral Researcher to join our team. The McGarrigle group has interests in developing new synthetic methodologies for carbohydrate chemistry, target synthesis, organosulfur chemistry and the development of organocatalysts. This particular post, funded by Science Foundation Ireland, concerns carbohydrate chemistry and the automation of synthesis.
The successful candidate will develop new enabling methodologies for the synthesis of carbohydrates and apply these in the synthesis of target oligosaccharides. They will be skilled in Organic Synthesis and may have experience in either carbohydrate chemistry and/or the development of new technologies for synthesis (flow chemistry, automation, etc.).

Salary: PD1: €36,854 - €42,603 PD2: €43,828 per annum.
This position may be appointed at either UCD Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or Level 2 depending on the relevant qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
