University of Edinburgh Deanery of Biomedical Sciences - 21-month project

An opportunity has arisen for a post-doctoral researcher to join a Kidney Research UK-funded project dedicated to improving the realism of human iPS-derived renal organoids, by applying techniques we have already developed in the analogous murine system. The work involves iPS cell culture, organoid formation, micro-manipulation, microscopy, molecular analysis and tissue engineering. All will be done in culture (there is no in vivo work involved). The ideal applicant would have a background in nephrology, organogenesis, stem cell biology or tissue engineering.
