Postdoctoral Research Associate Grade 7 - Molecular Microbiology

We are seeking to recruit an innovative and ambitious individual to join an Academy of Medical Sciences funded project led by Dr Kate Baker. Based at the Institute for Integrative Biology, you will work in a wet laboratory environment with a clinically-relevant multi-species set of organisms to study the emergence and persistence of antimicrobial resistance in bacterial populations.

The project will integrate dynamic growth experiment results using genetically modified organisms with epidemiological mathematical modelling frameworks, and collaborators include Public Health England and the EPSRC-funded Liverpool Centre for Mathematics in Healthcare. You should have (or be about to obtain) a PhD in molecular microbiology or a related discipline, as well as some skills specific to the role (see job description).

You will have a strong track record of research outputs appropriate to your level, and be an otherwise well-rounded scientific researcher. The post is available until 30 April 2019.
