    A postdoctoral research associate is required to join the lab of Professor Antal Rot at the Centre for Immunology and Infection, Department of Biology, University of York to work on a collaborative project SYNERGIA funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation studying atypical chemokine receptor DARC (ACKR1) and CCRL1 (ACKR4) in spleen and lymphatic vessels focusing on mechanisms regulating chemokine activities and leukocyte migration.

    You should have a relevant PhD (or be in the final stage of completing your PhD studies) in immunology, pathology, haematology or related sciences along with a proven interest in chemokine biology, cell immunity, inflammation or leukocyte function. You should have research skills and hands on experience in cellular immunology and in vivo experimentation in mouse models documented by publications in reputable international journals.

    You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, untamed enthusiasm for experimentation and discovery and ability to work at the highest level of scientific achievement either alone or in collaboration with others as well as willingness to learn new skills and explore new uncharted areas of science. You will be expected to be supportive to other members of the research group, the CII and the SYNERGIA consortium and may be asked to help in training of students. Active participation in lab meetings and seminar series attendance is required.
