A vacancy has arisen for a postdoctoral security researcher in Athlone Institute of Technology (
www.ait.ie) as part of the Irish Centre for Cloud Computing and Commerce (IC4)
www.ic4.ie IC4 is a multi-institutional research centre located at Dublin City University. It was established in February 2012 by Dublin City University, University College Cork and Athlone Institute of Technology for the research programme for the Enterprise Ireland/IDA Cloud Computing Technology Centre. The vision for the Cloud Computing Technology Centre is to be an internationally recognised industry-led centre of excellence for innovation and applied research, that accelerates the development and adoption of Cloud technology and show cases Ireland’s capabilities in this field.
IC4 will pursue research across a number of security themes over its 5 years lifecycle.

Trusted Computing
Identification Management (Authentication and Authorisation)
Security for Mobile Cloud Computing
Candidates for the position are expected to have experience in at least one of the above areas. Applicants should have a solid grounding in basic security concepts and mechanisms and a commensurate publication record with a number of high quality conference and journal publications reflecting achievements in the field. Applicants should also posses adequate English language skills e.g. equivalent to IELTS (Academic Format) 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).
