Lab Introduction
Our lab is committed on elucidation the biosynthetic mechanisms of plant natural products, with a particular focus on the metabolic pathways of specialized metabolites that have significant biological interest We aim to understand the genetic and biochemistry basis and reengineer these pathways through synthetic biology. Our cutting-edge research is based on integration of genomics, single-cell omics resources, with bioinformatics, molecular biology, enzymology, and synthetic biology approaches. For representative achievements of our lab, please refer to:
• Clerodane diterpene biosynthesis in the family Lamiaceae – Molecular Plant 2023
• Biosynthesis of hyperforin in St. John’s wort – Molecular Plant 2024
