    Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or Level 2 within UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science.

    Applications are invited for a very dynamic post-doctoral scientist to work as part of our SFI Frontiers Programme 'Diet, Metabolism and Innate Immune Training’ team with Prof Helen Roche’s Nutrigenomics Team at UCD Conway Institute https://people.ucd.ie/helen.roche.

    'Diet, Metabolism and Innate Immune Training’ is a collaborative project with Dr Fred Sheedy’s team in TCD. The project is designed to investigate the interaction between diet, microbiota diversity and metabolism on innate immune function in metabolic disease (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)). The UCD Team are focused on human studies, which complement the pre-clinical work at TCD. The post is to provide high-level scientific knowledge, experimental and management skills to support UCDs contribution to this collaborative programme.

    Post Doc Level 1 Salary Range: €43,908 - €47,694
    Post Doc Level 2 Salary Range: €51,677 - €56,202
    Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

If you have already completed your PD1 stage in UCD or will soon complete a PD1, or you are an external applicant whose total Postdoctoral experience, inclusive of the duration of the advertised post, would exceed 4 years, you should not apply and should refer to PD2 posts instead.

    The PD2 post is intended for researchers that have completed PD1. As with the PD1, if you have already completed your PD2 stage in UCD or will soon complete a PD2, or your total Postdoctoral experience, inclusive of the duration of the advertised post, would exceed 6 years, you should not apply and should refer to Research Fellow posts instead.
