Sample preparation and measurement
- Complex sample preparation and measurement in the laboratory under S1 and S2 conditions
- Collaborative application of preclinical in vivo and in vitro models for multimodal imaging and mass spectrometry
- Isolation of tissue and cells by laser microdissection for further mass spectrometric studies
- Establishment and measurement of multiplex immunofluorescence microscopy stains and preparation of histological sections for mass spectrometry
Development and evaluation of multimodal data sets
- Establishment of bioinformatics algorithms for co-registration of multi-omics approaches from mass spectrometric and microscopic data sets
- Integrative assessment of data using multivariate analyses, dimensionality reduction and “pathway”, “signaling” and “enrichment” analyses
- Development of mathematical and statistical algorithms for the functional evaluation of multimodal imaging data sets as well as development of new bio-informatics analysis methods based on multimodal data sets
Establishment and analysis of mass spectrometric and microscopic data sets
- Automated analysis of mass spectrometric and microscopic data sets using segmentation algorithms and AI
- Establishment of new machine learning algorithms to identify patterns in mass spectrometric and microscopic data sets and integration of research into the collaborative projects
- Development of methods for “minimal proteomic sample preparation” for LC-MS/MS
Integration into new “ cutting edge ” technologies and training of students
- Support of the “Single-cell and spatial multi-omics” working group
- Supervision of students in bachelor's and master's programs
Your profile:
Requirements for the position
- Scientific degree (master's or diploma) in chemistry, physics, molecular biology, biomedicine, biology or comparable courses
- You work independently, independently and reliably
- You are flexible, committed and a team player
- You have very good computer and English skills
Desirable knowledge and skills that should be developed as part of the work
- Initial experience in mass spectrometry, bioinformatics, microscopy, systems biology and immunology
- Initial experience in analyzing microscopic and mass spectrometric data sets as well as integrative analyzes of systems biology and AI machine learning algorithms
- Initial experience in software / languages / applications such as MS Office, Spektronaut, DIA-NN, Proteome Discoverer, R, Python, Cytoscape, ScilsLab, String, GSEA
