Our research utilizes animal models and employs a range of biochemical, molecular, genetic, and genomic approaches to elucidate how epigenetic factors and gene interactions govern progenitor cell specification, differentiation, maintenance, regeneration, and dysfunction. Additionally, we are dedicated to advancing therapeutic approaches for inner ear hair cell regeneration through the development of novel gene or small-molecule candidates.
