    At the Institute of Management Science, in the Research Group for Production and Maintenance Management TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant (post-doc) limitet to 6 years for 40 hours/week. Expected start: June 2024.

    Tasks:
    Active participation in research (including acquiring third party funding, applying for research projects and international publications), teaching and administration, which means:
    *Collaboration in research and project activities in the field of Industry 4.0, production and maintenance planning and optimization
    *Conception and prototypical implementation of data-driven maintenance planning and optimization demonstrators in the TU Vienna Pilot Factory Industry 4.0
    *Publication of research outcomes in high impact journals in the field of Production and Operations Management
    *Participation in Scientific Events
    *Collaboration in organization of scientific workshops/conferences
    *Participation in teaching activities and taking over topic-specific courses
    *Supervision of Students (Project-, Seminar-, Bachelor-, Master Theses)
    *Collaboration in organizational and administrative tasks
    *The position provides opportunities for preparation and completion of a Habilitation thesis according to the guidelines for Habilitation at the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the TU Wien (https://www.tuwien.at/mwbw/dekanat/habilitation).

    Your profile:
    *Completion of a subject-relevant doctorate in the field of industrial engineering, business informatics /IT Management, Operations Research or equivalent university studies in Austria or international level
    *A quick grasp, above-average commitment, and in-depth knowledge of programming (Java/Python/R) in an industrial environment, as well as knowledge of optimization of complex production systems.
    *Basic understanding of organizational and business management approaches
    *Ability to work independently, think in an interdisciplinary manner, and quickly adapt to new tasks
    *You have a sense for practical and economical solutions, which you develop in a team for and with our research and industry partners
    *Very good German and English skills (level C1) enable you to communicate with international partners and to successfully work on projects abroad
