Postdoc in organic polymer synthesis

A full-time position is available in early 2024 for a postdoctoral researcher in organic polymer synthesis. The position is located at the Chemistry Department at the Université de Montreal in Montreal, Canada. The candidate should possess a strong expertise in the areas of organic polymer synthesis, polymer characterization, and monomer synthesis. The research project will involve thermally and photochemically synthesizing multi-responsive thin polymer films and their opto-electronic characterization using different spectroscopic and electrochemical techniques. The applicant should have received their Ph.D. within the past 3 years in one of the following areas: polymer synthesis, polymer engineering with synthesis, or organic synthesis. Experience in electrochemical measurements (cv, dpv, etc.), spin coating, handling air/moisture sensitive compounds, and metal evaporation would be an asset. Salary and benefits of the position are defined by the university’s SERUM.
