    An opportunity is available for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the group of Dr Jing Ren at the MRC LMB (Cambridge, U.K.) to investigate the mechanisms behind neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders by integrating advances in mouse brain organoids, human iPSC-based organoids, and viral-genetics enabled in vivo rescues. This study will achieve functional exploration of the growing list of genes associated with neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders and cross validate multiple models.

    We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will thrive in a friendly and supportive group. Candidates must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) due to be complete within 6 months in neuroscience, molecular biology, cellular biology, biomedical engineering or a related field. Strong molecular and cellular biology skills are required. We strongly encourage applications from candidates with bioinformatics skills and animal surgery training.

    We are looking for a Postdoctoral Scientist for our 3-year Career Development Fellowship/ Postdoctoral Training Scheme. This is a training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills.
