Your responsibilities: - In vitro studies: Biochemical, immunohistological, immunofluorescence and molecular biology analyses or - In vivo physiological studies in diabetes models or Preparation and implementation of preclinical experimental studies to evaluate and validate drug target candidates - Creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Your qualifications: - PhD in biology, or one of the following subjects: biochemistry or immunology - High interest in translational and clinical research - Strong background in one of the following subjects: biochemistry, cellular, molecular biology, islet biology or cellular trafficking - Work experience with mice in vivo pharmacology, cell culture and/or primary cells is a plus - Ability of working independently, with high motivation, flexibility and innovative and creative thinking, as well as team spirit and good communication skills - Excellent written and spoken English

Provided that the prerequisites are fulfilled, a salary level up to E 13 is possible. Social benefits are based on the collective agreement for the federal public service (TVöD). The position is (initially) limited to two years, under certain circumstances an extension can be arranged.
