Postdoctoral Training Fellow in quantitative MRI for MR-guided radiotherapy, Dr A Wetscherek (ID502)



    We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Training Fellow to work on quantitative MRI for treatment response assessment with particular focus on applications in MR-guided radiotherapy on a 1.5T MR-Linac.

    Key Requirements

    The successful candidate must hold/be working towards the completion of a PhD in Physic, Engineering, Informatics or a related discipline and must have experience with MR image acquisition in vivo. For this role, experience in either MR image reconstruction from MRI raw data or in MR pulse sequence development are essential.

    The ICR has a workforce agreement stating that Postdoctoral Training Fellows can only be employed for up to 7 years as PDTF at the ICR, providing total postdoctoral experience (including previous employment at this level elsewhere) does not exceed 10 years

    Department/Directorate Information:

    The Division of Radiotherapy and Imaging is investigating new imaging methods to diagnose cancer, and ways in which advances in technology and molecular biology can improve radiation treatment. The successful candidate will be joining the Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Radiotherapy team, led by Dr Andreas Wetscherek. Many opportunities for collaboration with other MRI scientists, clinical researchers and medical physicists exist within the Joint Department of Physics and the Convergence Science Centre.
