A post-doctoral position is available in the Kiledjian laboratory at Rutgers University in New Jersey for an outstanding candidate to study the regulation of RNA turnover in the control of gene expression. Projects focus on 1) uncovering novel modes of gene regulation directed through newly discovered noncanonical metabolite caps on the the 5´ end of RNAs that link RNA metabolism to cellular metabolism and 2) the role of decapping proteins in human cognition and neurogenesis. Please refer to the Kiledjian Lab web page for more information on areas of research interest and publications.

We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a Ph.D. in the life sciences with good communications skills and a publication track record in peer reviewed journals. Preference will be given to applicants with research experience in the areas of post-transcriptional gene regulation, RNA metabolism and computational biology.

Interested individuals should email Mike Kiledjian at ([email protected]) and include a cover letter describing interests and past accomplishments, a current curriculum vitae, and contact information for three references.

Campus Information: The Kiledjian lab is part of a larger collaborative RNA community at Rutgers that regularly interact. We are dedicated to career development for postdoctoral associates for their long-term goals. The lab is located on the Piscataway campus within one hour of New York and Philadelphia as well as the Jersey shore or the Pennsylvania mountains. We are an equal opportunity employer, and particularly encourage applications from historically underrepresented racial/ethnic groups.
