    Postdoctoral Research Assistant

A highly skilled and dedicated postdoctoral scientist with an interest in growth factor signalling and cancer is required to study the molecular mechanisms of TGFβ mediated promotion of tumourigenesis (Hannigan et al., Journal of Clinical Investigation, 2010; Inman, Current Opinion in Genetics and Development, 2011) in the laboratory of Dr Gareth Inman at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, University of Dundee.

The project will involve the use of state of the art cell and molecular biology and gene expression profiling techniques and will investigate the crosstalk between MAPK and TGFβ signalling during tumourigenesis using both in-vitro and in-vivo models of cancer progression. Ultimately these studies may identify important mechanisms of tumour progression with potential therapeutic applications.

You will be working in a superb research environment in a newly refurbished laboratory alongside a dedicated, welcoming and high performing team.

    Candidate Requirements
    • PhD qualified with at least one first authored publication in an internationally recognised peer-reviewed journal
    • Experience or interest in growth factor signalling, cell biology and in-vivo cancer models
