We have an opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join an evolving research group working on the biology and epidemiology of Eimeria parasites in chickens. Current interests in the group are parasite genomics, proteomics, transgenesis, genetic diversity and vaccine development and you will be joining a new strategic initiative that is extending studies on avian disease at the RVC. You will be associated with the Centre for Emerging Endemic and Exotic Diseases (CEEED) and will benefit from its state-of-the-art containment laboratories as well as a newly commissioned dedicated facility for the propagation and handling of coccidial parasites of poultry.
You will have a PhD in molecular parasitology or a closely related discipline and a strong interest in animal health and vaccine development. Ideally you will have some practical experience of working with protozoan parasites in an experimental setting.
