    A postdoctoral research scientist position is available in the laboratory of Phill Hawkins and Len Stephens, to work on a BBSRC-funded project. “A 3-D perspective on neutrophil migration.” The project, with a planned start date of April 2011, is based on a collaboration with Til Bretschneider in The Systems Biology department at Warwick University. It would involve a focus on PI3K signalling in neutrophils and entail use of a combination of cutting-edge lipidomics and live-cell imaging of fluorescent reporters in living mouse neutrophils.

    Applicants must have a PhD in cell biology/biochemistry/pharmacology and have substantial experience in studying intracellular signalling pathways. A working knowledge of live-cell imaging would be advantageous.
