    Research Assistant/Associate in Ecophysiology

    Salary: Grade 6/7, £28,098 - £38,833 per annum

    You will contribute to a project entitled ‘Why do fish fail at high temperatures?’, funded by a Discovery Science Grant from the UK Natural Environment Research Council to Professors Neil B. Metcalfe (Principal Investigator), with Co-Investigators Colin Selman, Pat Monaghan and Richard Hartley at the University of Glasgow, and in collaboration with Professor Simon Davies at Harper Adams University. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in animal mitochondrial ecophysiology; it will involve running a series of experiments which assess the impact of high temperatures on mitochondrial function, ROS production and the rate of senescence.

    This position has funding for 3 years.
