• Contract for two years. Gross salary of 30,000 €/year, negotiable according to candidate’s qualification and experience. Travel allowance of 1,100 €/year.
• Contract includes medical care coverage, work accident insurance, as well as pension and unemployment benefits.
• Training program in transversal skills: IPR, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, communication, etc.
• Preference will be given to candidates who awarded their PhD after January 1st 2012 and with at least one year of postdoctoral experience (closing date). Fluent English is essential.
• Candidates who have obtained the PhD at the University of Santiago de Compostela will not be eligible.
• The estimated starting date is March-April 2018.
EVALUATION AND SELECTION PROCEDURE
Step 1: The Online Application will be scored according to the following evaluation criteria:
• Scientific excellence: research experience, skills, scientific results, publications, awards… (up to 40 points)
• Adequacy of the scientific background of the candidate to the selected research line (up to 15 points).
• External References of the candidate (up to 15 points)
• Motivation letter (up to 10 points)
Only candidates with 55 points or higher are “pre-selected”, and they will be invited to the second step.
Step 2: Research proposal. The evaluation criteria to be applied at step 2 will be:
• Scientific quality and originality of the proposal and strategic relevance (up to 20 points)
Pre-selected candidates will be given 2 weeks to prepare a brief research proposal, advised by the corresponding group (the submitted proposal needs his/her approval). Research proposals shall be submitted to
[email protected], indicating in the subject: POSTDOC-CiMUS or POSTDOC-CiQUS or POSTDOC-CiTIUS. If necessary, pre-selected candidates could be contacted at this step for an online interview.
