    Your profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated colleague who recently obtained their PhD degree. You should have a background in biochemistry and/or structural biology and a drive to answer important and fundamental biomedical questions. A background in DNA replication and/or DNA repair is helpful but not essential.

So as to also provide our patients with a safe and friendly environment, we need doctors, medical care specialists, support staff and academic researchers. Our research fits seamlessly into and communicates with other research that takes part at different departments of the LUMC. The Lamers group is also part of a pan-european consortium, in which different research groups study DNA mismatch repair and transcription coupled repair (see http://www.dnarepairman.eu). Finally, the LUMC has the most advanced equipment for molecular biology research and cryo-EM studies and is closely associated with the Netherland Center for Cryo-Electron Nanospectroscopy (NeCEN) that is equipped with two Titan Krios microscopes.
