Photeomix, an SME based to the east of Paris, is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to develop new biotechnology assays for their proprietary biomarker programme, Activomics. This is an ideal post for an ambitious individual, at an early stage of their career, to create and apply innovative technologies with the aim of new product development and generating good quality data for publication in high-impact scientific journals.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in making and using bioconjugatates in the biochemical/medical setting, such as producing laboratory reagents for non-commercial ELISA-based assays, manipulation of micro- and/or nano-particles, latex beads, crosslinking, nephelometry and/or turbidimetry, affinity purification, fluorescent labelling and quantification, etc.
Additional experience in protein purification, enzyme assays, Western blotting, gel separation techniques will be an advantage.
Particular interest will be taken in candidates with proven autonomous research capacity, including writing to the level required for publication, good English language with excellent presentation skills and an overriding passion for their work. The work will also involve the screening of significant numbers of medical samples to investigate and validate Activomics biomarkers.
