THIS IS A RE-ADVERTISEMENT. PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY.

We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Assistant to carry out analysis of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging data, acquired by NIH funded “HCMR - Novel Markers of Prognosis in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy”, a large international, multi-centre study aiming to re-define risk stratification in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.

Your main duties will involve manual data processing and data analysis. The ultimate goal is to optimise and transform the current approach into a streamlined pipeline of software tools and respective procedures that can adequately address the scale of this HCMR study and other emerging large clinical imaging studies.

You will have (or be close to completion of) a PhD in computer science or a relevant discipline with entry to mid-level Postdoctoral experience (salary adjusted accordingly). You will have a strong background in numerical methods and computer science with proven programming skills. A background in medical or biological imaging and/or image processing is essential. Experience in (ideally cardiovascular) clinical research would be a distinct advantage.

This full-time appointment is available immediately and fixed-term until 30 June 2019. You will be based in the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Applications for this vacancy are to be made online; you will be required to upload a supporting statement identifying how you meet the selection criteria and a copy of your CV as part of your online application. To apply for this role and for further details, including a job description and person specification, please click on the link below.

Only applications received before 12.00 midday on Friday 3 February 2017 can be considered. Interviews are scheduled to take place on Tuesday 21 February 2017.
