Applications are invited for a 12 months post of a Research Biostatistician within UCD School of Medicine.
CEPHR (formerly the HIV Molecular Research Group, HMRG) is Ireland’s leading research group in HIV and one of the few academic research centres in Europe that integrates host and pathogen research comprising clinical, translational, statistical and biomedical researchers. CEPHR is internationally recognized for its translational research being involved in both investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored studies, including into COVID-19, in collaboration with the Infectious Diseases service at St Vincent’s University Hospital and the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin) and a number of EU-funded projects, including roles as national lead for the EU COVID19 Vaccine Trial Network.
CEPHR research highlights include the establishment of the largest, international, prospective cohort of diverse people with and without HIV (>500 participants) examining issues around bone disease, the implementation of one of the largest European Emergency Department-based HIV screening research programmes, with over 14,000 subjects recruited and the establishment of the All Ireland ID Cohort, a multi-centre, prospective cohort study focused on subjects with COVID-19 infection, with 12 sites recruiting across Ireland and over 1,100 subjects recruited and biobanked since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
CEPHR is currently seeking a full-time biostatistician to join our group in an operational support role. This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work and grow in an interdisciplinary team, gaining skills and experience in the conduct of clinical studies/trials as well as in the development and employment of novel analytics methods for use in such studies.

Salary range: €38,632 - €50,000 per annum.
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
