Applications are invited for a project officers to develop the implementation stage of the Shetland Marine Plan (https://www.shetland.uhi.ac.uk/research/marine-spatial-planning/shetland-islands-regional-marine-planning-partnership/).
The ideal candidate has experience with working with a range of stakeholders and knowledge of the UKs marine management system. Knowledge of marine planning and policy would be advantageous. You will need to be a highly collaborative team player, communicate openly with the Marine Spatial Planning Manager (Rachel Shucksmith) and wider team, and foster excellent relations with stakeholders and partners.

The main duties of the position are to facilitate the implementation of the Shetland marine plan. This will involve working with a range of stakeholders to develop and implement marine projects. You will be expected to present at meetings, conferences and to the public/stakeholders, and will be an active member of the wider marine planning team.
The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification (BSc/ MSc/ PhD) in a relevant area, such as marine or environmental management, planning or partnership working.
