) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, USA. The position is available now and is for 4 years.
The Truman laboratory in the Department of Biological Sciences employs a range of molecular technologies including mass spectrometry, CRISPR-genome engineering and high-throughput screening to study the interplay between the molecular chaperone Hsp70 and cell signaling. We have been a world leader in fostering the concept of the “Chaperone Code”, the diverse array of post-translational modifications that fine-tune chaperone function. Our current studies involve deciphering how DNA damage response (DDR) signaling can impact chaperones and conversely how chaperones stabilize key proteins in the DDR.
We are seeking candidates how have recently obtained their PhD in molecular biology or related field and should have a strong background in either DNA damage response signaling or molecular chaperone function in mammalian cells. Candidates should have published at least one paper in a journal with an IF>3.
