Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Engineer within UCD School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering.
The successful candidate will work as part of the Hydrogen Innovation Centre, which is being developed in collaboration with Gas Networks Ireland. The role involves investigation into the practical challenges of transporting and using a blend of hydrogen and natural gas in the gas network. This includes, combustion of blended gas, operation of devices, accuracy of metering, and safety of use. Work will be carried out in both UCD laboratories and in GNI premises in BrownsBarn, Dublin. The candidate will in collaboration with others design, carry out, collect and review data from the relevant experiments and test, as well as prepare interim and final reports.
Fixed salary: €40,221 per annum
