Postdoctoral Research Associate

The group of Assistant Professor Tommaso Cupido at St Jude Children’s Research
Hospital (Memphis, TN) is seeking a highly motivated postdoc for the study of gene
expression regulation by protein machines, at the molecular level.

A major focus of the lab is to understand the mechanism and regulation of nucleic acid-
interacting enzymes whose aberrant function is implicated in cancer development. Our
efforts are highly multidisciplinary, integrating small molecule chemistry with structural
biology, genomics, and systems biology approaches. One goal of our research is to
place these molecular machines under pharmacological control - using small molecules
we design - to test hypotheses for the development of novel cancer therapeutics.

The researcher would be encouraged to take full advantage of the outstanding scientific
technology platforms at St Jude, including genomics, proteomics, super-resolution
microscopy, high-throughput chemical screening, biomolecular NMR and Cryo-EM
    facilities.

Applications should include a letter of motivation stating research interests and
expertise, a CV, and two references’ contact information. Candidates should have a
documented background in chemical biology, structural biology, biochemistry, or a
related field, a creative and self-driven personality, excellent communication skills in
English, and appreciate team-work. This is an open-end, core funded position. Salary is

commensurate to experience, and competitive with respect to similar positions in top-
    tier academic research institutions.

Applicants should apply for job 43929 at https://bit.ly/3d6uCLF
