Fondazione Pisana per la Scienza (FPS) offers a fixed-term position as Junior Researcher to be included in a multidisciplinary team of researchers expert in nanotechnologies.
Responsibility
The Researcher will develop, within the framework of nanomedicine laboratory, analysis techniques of biological specimens for the identification of tumor biomarkers. The candidate will contribute to the setup of labeling and processing protocols of biological samples (cells, organoids and tissues) and data acquisition by confocal, time resolved, or super-resolution microscopy. Qualifications requested
A bachelor’s degree in physics, chemistry, biotechnology or related sectors, and a PhD (preferably with microscopy applied to biological samples) are required. Candidates without PhD, but with at least three years of postgraduate research experience, will also be considered.
Possession of one or more of the following skills will be positively evaluated:
• Experience in labelling of biomolecules with fluorescent / luminescent reporters;
• Experience in FLIM;
• Experience in super-resolution microscopy (preferably PALM / STORM);
• Base knowledge of at least one scientific programming language (preferably Python, R, MATLAB).
The contract will be for a fixed term based on 40 working hours per week, the salary will depend on qualifications and experience.
