We have ongoing research about the smart city of Lucail city in Qatar. The research is in collaboration between Qatar University and Louisiana State University, U.S.A. We are looking for a full-time RA or Postdoc to joining our team.

Job Summary
The successful candidate for the BIM/ computer science specialist will be responsible for:
Modelling: create and maintain building models and infrastructure of Lusail City in Qatar. This currently includes 100s buildings and some infrastructures using Revit, InfraWorks etc.
IT: Support data exchange between several systems to achieve effective utilization components relating to architectural and space management disciplines to include assisting with the development of standards, levels of development, deliverable requirements, and data interoperability.
Research: Report writing and paper development for publications.
Job description:
• Reviews solution architecture and solution design documentation.
• Conducted city modelling
• Work on research packages
• Designs system integration and prepares data interoperability standards
• Creates interface specifications based on requirements and industry best practices.
• Designs custom schema, routing rules, and information interoperability and exchange platform protocols
Required:
• Master's degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, Computer Science or BIM-related field
• Consideration given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience
• Recent, relevant experience using one or more BIS/BIM industry-standard software packages
• Strong understanding of the creation and maintenance processes for floor plans, building information models, building information systems, and space management data
• Ability to accurately compile, review and interpret complex urban spatial information
• C+ +Programming background
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and related documents from Architect and contractors
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Highly motivated individual who will take the initiative to solve problems, assume responsibility and meet deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and on a team
• Ability to influence and build work relationships among diverse stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and use tact and discretion while working with sensitive information
Preferred:
• Experience developing and producing City information models for buildings and infrastructure using established BIM standard, data interoperability and software applications.
• Experience in academic research in the area of BIM, information management and Smart city.
• Experience in research publication in relevant areas
