http://www.keele.ac.ukThis is an exciting opportunity for an applicant with experience in mosquito molecular ecology and population biology to work join the Centre for Applied Entomology and Parasitology, at Keele University and to contribute to the activities of the Target Malaria Consortium (led by Imperial College). You will have an interest in the development of novel vector control strategies based on male mosquito releases for curbing malaria transmission, experience in entomology, insect population biology and data handling and statistics with a PhD in ecology, entomology or vector biology.
The post may require travels to Africa to provide support and training at collaborating institutions. In Keele, the applicant will provide training to visiting researchers, develop and improve molecular ecological tools for mosquito population monitoring and control and contribute to the management, analyses and publication of data from the field entomological surveys and experiments conducted across our African field sites.
