School of Biological Sciences - Post Doctoral Research Fellow: Biomedical Science
• Post-doctoral Research Fellow - Biomedical Science full-time, fixed-term (18-months)
• Do you have a Ph.D. d in Cell or Molecular Biology and want the opportunity to be a research leader for an MBIE funded project?
• Can you communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders?
University of Wellington, Te Herenga Waka are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven, creative, and interactive scientist, preferably within a year of finishing his/her PhD degree. Qualified applicants will have a PhD and multiple publication, with at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal. Salary and benefit levels will be commensurate with the experience of the applicant.
The candidate should have a strong background and experience in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, primary neuronal cultures, protein expression and purification, and in light and confocal microscopy. S/he should have some background in small angle X-ray scattering and protein crystallography. Using biochemical and immunological approaches, the applicant will express and characterize several isoforms viral and mammalian proteins
