    The Laboratory for Biomaterials in Imaging at the CR-CHU de Québec - Université Laval is seeking highly qualified PhD graduates with demonstrated experience in (nano)biomaterials and biomedical imaging (MRI, CT, PET or other imaging modality relevant to biomaterials). The candidate will be integrated to a dynamic research team located in a hospital environment, specialized in the 3D printing of biomedical devices for surgical, radiological, and radiotherapeutic procedures.

    More specifically, the postdoctoral project of the candidate is centered on the production with 3D printing of implants used for the treatment of cancer by using nanostructured precursors. The project involves one academic partner in the field of Medical Physics, as well as a corporate partner in the field of nano materials synthesis for biomedical applications.

    The candidates must:
    1) Demonstrate knowledge and experience (through their PhD) with either MRI, CT, or PET imaging in the small animal models (mice, rats);
    2) Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in nano(bio) materials science, including nanotechnology analysis tools (e.g. electron microscopy, spectroscopies, dynamic light scattering, etc)
    3) Knowledge and expertise in cell culture science, radioisotope handling, as well as 3D printing techniques, would be considered positively.
    4) Evidence of excellent writing skills in English: the candidate will be involved in paper writing clinics and frequent journal clubs with the 8-10 graduate students of the laboratory. Therefore excellent writing skills are required for the position. The postdoc will also receive a comprehensive training by the Faculty, for grant application preparation.

    This is a 1-year postdoc position (renewable for 1 year).

    Candidates interested in this position are invited to send a CV, letter of interest (1.5 p), a 1-p statement of career interests, as well as two (2) references.

    Université Laval is the 6th University in Canada for research intensity, and CR-CHU de Québec is the 7th most research-intensive academic hospital in Canada. CR-CHU de Québec - Université Laval is an acknowledged leader in Regenerative Medicine, Biomaterials, and Oncology Research.
