Applications are invited for a fully funded doctoral researcher fellowship by the Marie Curie-ITN-EID 'EDEM' project. EDEM (Experimentally Validated DNS and LES Approaches for Fuel Injection, Mixing and Combustion of Dual-Fuel Engines), is a unique international (EU member states and countries such as USA, China, UAE and South Korea), intersectoral (academic and non-academic institutions) and interdisciplinary research consortium based on high profile universities and world leading industrial partners. • Applicant is in the first 4 years of his/her research career, measured from the date of graduation (MSc degree or equivalent in Engineering and Physical Sciences). Research experience should be 0<4 years
• Applicant should not have been living in the UK for more than 12 months in the last 3 years
• Good knowledge of Internal combustion engines and their fuels
• Prior experience in the engine testing and optical measurement techniques
• Good communication skills
• A sound knowledge of the English language, both oral and written.
The successful candidate will be employed as an Early Stage Researcher and registered in a PhD programme at Brunel University London, and will spend 50% of their time in Woodward-L’Orange Company in Germany according to the EID guidelines.
