Postdoctoral Scientist
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to join Kelly Nguyen’s group to study aspects of telomerase regulation in human cells using an integrated biochemical and structural approach with a focus on cryo-EM.
The successful applicant will have a PhD in Molecular Biology or related field with a strong background in protein-nucleic acid biochemistry and structural biology. Prior experience in human cell culture and eukaryotic protein expression would be essential. We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious scientist keen to work on a challenging project with good communication skills to join our newly established friendly and supportive team.
This is a 3-year position and is located at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK, which provides excellent in-house scientific core facilities and highly collaborative working environment.
The successful applicant will be awarded a three year Career Development Fellowship / Postdoctoral training Scheme position. This is a training and development position for a post-doctoral scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies, is moving into a new research discipline or has limited experience of key transferable skills. The MRC LMB has excellent scientific core facilities and training opportunities.
