Postdoctoral Training Fellow - Cell Division Team (2nd post)

The research of the Cell Division Team focuses on understanding how cells divide, in particular how the machinery that controls cell division is regulated in space and time.

We seek to appoint a Postdoctoral Training Fellow to the team led by Professor Jonathon Pines in the Division of Cancer Biology to measure and analyse the behaviour of the proteins involved in the Spindle Assembly Checkpoint that regulates chromosome segregation. You will join a small, enthusiastic and friendly team analysing mitotic control, and will be given opportunities to use your own initiative and to work in collaboration with others.

Applicants should possess a PhD in a biological science such as molecular cell biology or biochemistry. Experience with live cell microscopy or proteomics is desirable.

Appointment will be on a Fixed Term Contract for 3 years in the first instance. Starting salary will be based on previous postdoctoral experience.

Informal enquiries can be made to Professor Jonathon Pines at [email protected]. Please do not send your application to Professor Pines, formal applications must be submitted online.

To apply please click on the apply button below.

Please submit your CV and covering letter (addressing with specific examples where you meet the person specification and incl. the names and addresses of two referees)
