We have an open position for a Research Associate available at the Smart Sensing Lab, Computing & Technology department, Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham, UK.
The position is part of the “Smart Tagging and Proximity Detection for Crime Reduction“ project, in collaboration with the Dawes Centre for Future Crime at UCL.
The project aims at utilising the Internet of Things (IoT) for crime prevention and victim support. We are particularly interested in Physical Prototyping using (Near Field communication) NFC tags and Bluetooth Beacons.
The successful candidate will work with Dr Kanjo and with Dawe center to conduct research that ranges from software and hardware development to experimental user studies, focus groups and evaluation.
Post holder will conduct research in the area of Pervasive Computing, physical and digital prototyping, mobile development, accessibility and participatory design. Experience in mobile development is highly desirable.
