Post-doctoral Training Fellow - Myeloma Molecular Therapy Group

The Institute of Cancer Research is at the forefront of international cancer research and, with the Royal Marsden NHS Trust, forms the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe.

Professor Richard Houlston FRS and Dr Martin Kaiser are seeking a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to work on projects aiming to provide novel insights into the development of the immune plasma cell cancer multiple myeloma. The focus of the research is the identification and characterisation of genetic variants that influence cancer risk, specifically those that map to non-coding DNA. We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to contribute to our programs of work, combining high-throughput methods (Hi-C, MPRA and CRISPR) with in-depth functional characterisation of risk regions.

We wish to appoint an individual with extensive experience of molecular genetics, relevant to disease gene characterisation. We undertake a broad range of genetic experiments including high-throughput sequencing, epigenetic profiling and Hi-C analyses, MPRA and CRISPR.

Informal enquiries about on-going projects can be made to Martin Kaiser (tel: 0208 722 4166; e-mail: [email protected]). Please Note - this email address is for enquiries only; applications must be made via the e-Recruitment system via the ICR Website.
