We have a research scientist position available (to be filled as soon as possible) for an experienced and highly motivated individual in the group of Dr. M. Madan Babu at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK.
We are looking for a research scientist to assist other members in the group in a programme aimed at understanding the principles of how disordered regions contribute to function.
Specifically, the person will provide core support and help other scientists in research aimed at investigating how disordered regions drive the formation of protein assemblies, modulate protein stability and transcription initiation.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. and extensive lab experience in yeast molecular biology, genetics and genomics. Experience with handling DNA sequence libraries, library cloning and next generation sequencing is essential.
You will enjoy a rich and collaborative intellectual environment and interactions with a dynamic interdisciplinary team working on a variety topics, both computational and experimental.
