    Position overview:
    Qatari Advanced Simulations for Reservoirs (QASR) research group at HBKU is currently recruiting a postdoctoral researcher in Enhanced Oil Recovery . The ongoing experimental research aim is to develop optimal enhanced oil recovery scenarios for carbonate reservoirs using state-of-the-art core flooding experiments.

    The successful candidate will be working under the guidance of Dr. Ahmad Abushaikha.

    Job summary/basic function:
    The candidate will be responsible for conducting research and mentoring MS and Ph.D. students in research projects on enhanced oil recovery, reservoir engineering, and experimental lab work.

    Qualifications, skills and experience:
    Applicants should have a Ph.D. in an Engineering / Science field. A candidate should have an extensive knowledge in the following areas:
    • Petroleum Engineering
    • Geology
    • Core Flooding
    • Experimental lab experience
    • Data analysis
