Applications are invited for a Post- Doctoral Research Fellow 1 in UCD School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy. This is a temporary post.
The project's objectives are to undertake an integrated analysis of packaging use from manufacturers, through distributors and retailers, to consumers, and to determine if existing statistics accurately represent this chain of use and the degree of reuse or recycling. Comparison will be made with methodologies from across the EU to propose recommendations for future data collection. The project will also examine consumer behaviour and the role of incentives/disincentives.
The project would suit an individual with an interest in, and ability to work, with statistics, ideally with a working knowledge of industrial processes and/or business or consumer recycling behaviour.
Salary: €37,223 - €43,029 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
