About the Project: Equality Group is seeking a post-doc to help develop an efficient and effective assessment tool which can measure cognitive diversity and cultural alignment across teams. They need someone who understands the range of existing assessment tools in this field and can evolve and adapt one to help promote diversity and inclusion within the private sector. It is essential that the data from the assessment tool can be proven to be statistically relevant.
Often there is a perceived conflict between hiring more diversely and preserving "culture fit", which an assessment tool measuring both factors could help alleviate. At the same time, existing psychometric tools are fairly time intensive and limited in scope when applied to diversity and inclusion.
The aim for the Equality assessment tool would be a test that takes no more than 10-15 minutes for individuals to complete. It would give insightful data on how cognitively diverse and culturally aligned an existing team is. This same test could then be given to any potential new joiners to understand how they contribute to the cognitive diversity and cultural alignment of the team.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate would have experience with multiple psychometric and personality profiling tools and have studied one or more of Psychology, Neuroscience, Organisational Behaviour, Leadership development. We are seeking someone who can advise on the design, content and structure of the Equality assessment tool based on previous research and work.
The individual does not need to be a diversity specialist and the technology development side of the tool will be managed by another consultant.
